About the jewellery
What is fashion jewellery?
Fashion jewellery is designed to be worn and enjoyed now rather than kept in a locker. It uses plating over a base metal instead of solid gold, which is what makes the designs affordable enough to own several. Veloura pieces are finished in 18k gold plating.
Will the gold plating last?
How long plating lasts depends almost entirely on how it is treated. Perfume, lotion, sweat, chlorine and salt water are what wear it down. Kept dry and stored properly, a plated piece holds its finish for a long time. Worn in the shower daily, it will not.
How should I care for my jewellery?
Put it on last, after perfume and lotion have dried. Take it off before swimming, showering, sleeping and workouts. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wearing and store it flat in its pouch. Never use liquid or ultrasonic jewellery cleaners on plated pieces.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Our pieces are 18k gold plated over a base metal alloy. Plated jewellery suits most people, but if you have a known metal allergy we would rather you were careful than sorry: wear the piece for a short stretch first and see how your skin reacts. If it does not agree with you, return it within 7 days and we will refund you.
How do I choose jewellery for an occasion?
Let one piece lead. For work and everyday, a fine chain or small huggie hoop disappears into the outfit and still reads considered. For dinner or an evening out, pick one sculptural piece and keep everything else quiet. For a wedding, a solitaire pendant or a pavé bangle sits well under and around heavier traditional wear.
Orders and delivery
How long does delivery take?
Orders are dispatched within 1 to 2 business days. Delivery typically takes a further 3 to 7 business days across India. Full detail on the Shipping page.
Is shipping free?
Shipping is free on orders above ₹999.
How can I track my order?
You will get a tracking link by email when your parcel is dispatched. You can also check it any time on the Track Order page using your order number and billing email.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Write to us as soon as possible. If the order has not been dispatched we can usually change or cancel it. Once it has left us, it has to be handled as a return.
Returns and payment
Do you offer returns?
Yes. Unworn pieces can be returned within 7 days of delivery, in their original packaging. See the Returns page for the full conditions.
What if my piece arrives damaged?
Tell us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs and we will replace it or refund you in full, including return shipping.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Cash on delivery is available across India. Online payment by UPI, card and net banking is being enabled and will appear at checkout shortly.
Is checkout secure?
Yes. The site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and online payments are handled by the payment provider directly. We never see or store your full card details.
Gifting
Is Veloura jewellery suitable for gifting?

Do you include a gift note or hide the price?
Yes. Add your message in the order notes box at checkout and we will include a handwritten card. Tell us it is a gift and we will leave the price off the slip inside the parcel.
